Rankings
Open Fishing Cup features three ranking systems that track angler performance across different scopes. All rankings are calculated automatically and update whenever catches are approved or modified.Country Rankings
Country Rankings rank anglers within their own country, per species, per calendar year.- Only approved catches count toward your ranking.
- Your score is based on your top catches per species (the number of catches that count is configured per species — typically 2).
- Points equal the total length (in cm) of your top catches for that species.
- Rankings reset at the start of each calendar year.
How to view
Navigate to Rankings → Country Rankings from the main menu. You can filter by species and year. Each country section shows the top 3 anglers, and you can click through to see the full leaderboard.Your Rank
If you’re logged in and have ranked catches, a “Your Rank” banner shows your current position, points, and the anglers directly above and below you.Angler Rankings
Angler Rankings rank anglers globally, per species, per calendar year — regardless of which country the catch was made in.- Same scoring logic as Country Rankings: your top catches per species determine your total points.
- All approved catches from any country count.
- Rankings reset at the start of each calendar year.
How to view
Navigate to Rankings → Angler Rankings from the main menu. The overview shows the top 3 anglers per species globally. Click a species to see the full leaderboard.Competition Rankings
Competition Rankings track performance within a specific competition (open competitions or club championships).- Only catches that match the competition’s species, country, date range, and minimum length requirements are scored.
- You must be registered for the competition for your catches to count.
- Points are calculated based on species-specific multipliers and bonus fish rules defined by the competition organiser.
- Rankings are live throughout the competition period.
How to view
Go to any competition page and click “Rankings” to see the leaderboard. Your position is highlighted if you’re a participant.Sharing your Rank
On all ranking pages, you can share your rank as a visual card via social media or messaging apps. Click the share button next to your rank to generate a shareable image. How Rankings are Calculated
- Rankings update automatically when a catch is approved, modified, or removed.
- The system uses incremental updates — only the affected angler’s ranking is recalculated, keeping leaderboards fast and accurate.
- Competition administrators and super admins can trigger a full recalculation if needed.
